This unofficial ICS 4.0.3 is cooked by Xda developer member razorbladex401. The developer has pointed that this ROM is an unstable version and requires many bug fixes. For now, camera is not working on the device and Motorola has yet to be released ICS driver for Xoom. So, if you are looking to use this ROM as daily driver, so it’s better not to install the ROM.

Before you begin, get your phone unlocked as Xoom comes with locked bootloader so user is required to unlock the bootloader which further helps user to become root user of the device. After done with unlocking the bootloader user needs to flash the ROM with CWM Recovery using ROM Manager.

Once done with unlocking and flashing the device, user can begin with the installation process.
  • First download the ICS ROM file from here and Google Apps for ICS from here.
  • Once downloaded the above files, transfer them to the root folder of the device (Xoom).
  • Now, launch the ROM Manager and tap “Reboot into Recovery”, after done with this your device will boot up in CWM Recovery mode.
  • Here, in CWM Recovery Mode, wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
  • Once done! Flash ICS ROM which you have downloaded to Xoom from install .zip file from SDcard -> Select .zip file from SDcard and repeat the same process for installing Google Apps for ICS.
